a pause or gap in a sequence, series, or process.

When something goes on hiatus, it doesn’t mean it’s done; it’s simply taking a break. HIATUS is the first piece I’ve finished in a long time, and this piece is a reflection on my time between pieces: lots of interruptions, pauses, changes, and craziness.
